Room 10

Room 10 is Guet and Hector, a duet of musicians with multiple and complementary influences.

In 1995, Guet starts his career as a DJ, mixing hard and dark tunes, like hardcore. Progressively, he goes into new sounds, deeper and more jazzy, with techno, drum’n’bass and deep house. In 2002, he starts a new journey called !nfraJazz with musicians playing acoustic parts on his drum’n’ bass and deep house mixes. After weekly parties, it goes on, on Vallée fm radio (96.6 FM, www.valleefm.fr), every Thursday and he also hosts “Back to the Underground”, the weekly minimal electro radio show.

Hector starts music at 5. He leaves Chile with his parents. In France, he studies classical music, funk, soul and disco, which are a first revolution in his head. Afterwards, he discovers dub and reggae. And then he falls in love with jazz. In 1994 he starts 10 years of electronic with jungle. Since 2002, he mixes house or eclectic sets as resident on Vallée fm 96.6 or in different places in Paris. In 2005, he starts a new weekly radio show called “Chile con Mix”.

These two guys met at Vallée fm studios. Both of them have already listened to their respective shows and like the style and sound! So, Guet invites Hector as guest in his radio show. After a long talk about their musical tastes, they decided to work together on a track, as a test… At this time, they didn’t know yet that it was the beginning of “Room 10″, their minimal electro project!
