Amsterdam Assholes

Amsterdam Assholes is a collaboration between Wouter Hisschemoller and
Sandrien. They hosted the Amsterdam local underground dance radio station
Radio Activity/Danzolectro, a radioshow where they shared the same passion for deep, freaked and crazy minimal techno. It was only logical they started making music together.
Wouter Hisschemoller had already produced music for Taho’s Eona label and does laptop sets of his own music in Holland and abroad. Sandrien has been DJing at mayor festivals in Holland like Lowlands, Mysteryland, 5 Days Off and played several times in Japan (Colors Studio, Canon), Germany (Bar25, VCF, Uebel & Gefahrlich) and Spain (Fellini, 13).
Beside their successful solo projects, they’ve started to make a name for themselves by performing as a duo live-act in the Amsterdam techno scene, which is vibrant and alive at the moment. Armed with two laptops, midicontrollers and the Korg Electribe, they create their own rollin’ trippy AA sound.
Their first 12” was released july 2007 on the new founded Dutch label Dualblock (www.dualblock.nl) and got supported by Josh Wink, Ambivalent (The Nerd Tank) and Martin Eyerer a.o.
Their next release (Beat Generation) will be a contribution to the 1 year anniversary compilation of the
Pinksilver label.
